My Story
With a diverse background that combines business, marketing, music, and technology, I have always been driven by a deep curiosity and a desire to leverage my creativity to solve problems. From my early days growing up in Boston, MA, in a vibrant Hispanic household, my love for creativity and music blossomed. I would spend hours building intricate structures with Legos and constructing Rube Goldberg Machines that stretched across the hallway of our apartment. At a young age of 7, I discovered my passion for music when I learned to play the drum set. This passion only grew stronger as I attended the Advent School in Beacon Hill, where I found my love for theatre and honed my musical skills during summer camps at The Hill House community center just down the street. Later, during my middle school years at The Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill, I continued to pursue music, participating in recitals, and taking center stage in theatrical plays and musicals.
When my family moved to Puerto Rico in 2015, I embarked on a new chapter of my life. Despite the cultural shift, I continued to nurture my musical talents and made lasting connections. In high school at the University Highschool of Puerto Rico, I expanded my repertoire by learning to play the acoustic and electric guitar, performing in a cover band, participating in Latin string and percussion ensembles and even organizing a summer concert fundraiser for the school's music department. These formative years allowed me to develop lifelong friendships and expand my creative outlets.
After graduating high school in 2019, I pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico's Mayaguez Campus. However, with the pandemic's arrival and my family's return to Boston my journey eventually led me back to the city at Emerson College, where I shifted gears and delved into the world of business and marketing through my major in Business of Creative Enterprises and my minor in Digital Media and Culture. During my time at Emerson, I not only thrived in my creative mindset but also gained practical experience. I worked as an Operations Assistant at Dexter Southfield School in Chestnut Hill, balancing my studies while contributing to the school's operations. Additionally, I embraced opportunities to share my passion for music and technology, working as a music instructor at Dexter Southfield School Summer Camps and teaching a Virtual Reality Crash Course at Sci-Tech Camp.
As my skills and knowledge grew, I also adapted my passion for music exploring the world of DJing and eagerly applying my newfound expertise performing for Emerson student organizations, private events, and school events most recently at the Boston College Highschool. But overall, throughout my time at Emerson, I had the privilege of working with multiple local companies. Most recently the Reagle Music Theatre in Waltham, collaborating to address marketing and customer experience challenges through a capstone project.
As I anticipate embarking on my next academic endeavor, I am thrilled to announce my enrollment in the Master of Science in Management in Entrepreneurial Leadership program at the esteemed F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, commencing in Fall 2024. Armed with my strategic marketing expertise and business acumen, I eagerly anticipate the opportunities this program will afford me.
My journey thus far has provided me with a unique blend of experiences, from creative performances and teaching to real-world business collaborations. My diverse background, coupled with a passion for creativity and problem-solving, drives me to seek new challenges and make a meaningful impact. I invite you to join me on this journey as we navigate the intersection of music, technology, and business.
